The 2011 MESSIAH SING-ALONG & PLAY-ALONG WAS
ANOTHER GENUINE COMMUNITY EVENT!
As expected, the 2011 SING-ALONG & PLAY-ALONG held at the fabulous NEUROSCIENCES INSTITUTE AUDITORIUM on Friday 7:30 p.m. December 2, 2011 and Sunday 2:30 p.m. December 4, 2011 was exciting and FUN. Once again, Dr. Yeung conducted both the orchestra AND the audience as they sang the choral parts. And the SOLOISTS were AWESOME!!! They enthralled the audience with their magnificent singing.
As in 2010, the SOLOISTS (soprano, alto, tenor and bass) were chosen by COMPETITION open to everyone with an interest in singing. It was held on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the French Parlor of the University of San Diego. MEET THE WINNERS – the “firsts” among equals of extremely talented participants.

directed by
using Mozart’s orchestration which augmented the
original instrumentation from 2 oboes, one bassoon, 2 trumpets, timpani,
strings and basso continuo to pairs of flutes, clarinets, bassoons,
horns, and trumpets, three trombones, timpani, and strings.
