The 2011 MESSIAH SING-ALONG & PLAY-ALONG* will be another GENUINE COMMUNITY EVENT!
As in the 2010 INAUGURAL SING-ALONG, the SOLOISTS will be chosen by competition.

BASIC COMPETITION GUIDELINES:
- The competition is open to ALL VOICE TYPES: SOPRANO, ALTO, COUNTERTENOR, TENOR, and BASS.
- Each singer will be REQUIRED to sing ONE ARIA from Part I and an additional (optional) ARIA from Parts I, II or III.
- Each applicant MUST PROVIDE HIS/HER OWN PIANO ACCOMPANIST.
- Applications will be accepted JUNE 15 – OCTOBER 14. APPLICATION FEE: $30. APPLICATION FORM will be available for DOWNLOAD week of May 23, 2011.
- WINNERS will sing the SOLO ARIAS in concert with the GREATER SAN DIEGO COMMUNITY ORCHESTRA using Mozart’s orchestration at the MESSIAH SING-ALONG & PLAY-ALONG [See below]

*PLAY-ALONG: Members of the community who play a musical instrument are welcome to play the CHORUS ACCOMPANIMENTS along with the orchestra OFFSTAGE in front of the audience. Interested parties should contact Dr. Yeung.
