The Greater San Diego Community Orchestra at FanFaire Foundation's "Adventures in Science & Music", a satellite event of the USA Science & Engineering Festival held on November 13, 2010 at the Embarcadero Marina Park, San Diego in association with MaritimeSTEM Festival

Founded and directed by Dr. Angela Yeung, the Greater San Diego Community Orchestra envisions serving the greater San Diego community by:

• welcoming the participation of musically trained individuals of all ages, races and backgrounds while inspiring them to challenge themselves for the highest possible artistic achievement in every rehearsal and performance;
• presenting performances to the public that are enjoyable, uplifting, and educational;
• enriching the lives of all but especially the young, fostering in them not only self-confidence but also a sense of teamwork and a communal quest for excellence;
• and sharing the joy of music and individual musical talent with one another.

The orchestra rehearses every Tuesday evenings in the Linda Vista area. Interested instrumentalists may contact Dr. Angela Yeung for an audition.
