KIDS Playing For KIDS

The “Kids Playing for Kids” program seeks to nurture creativity among young students in the community so that they can serve as role models for their peers. It was launched at a mini-concert held at Point Loma Credit Union (PLCU – Carlsbad) in October 2011. It is hoped that this program will spark an interest in classical music among children, and inspire them to grow up to become creative members of their communities.

The program presents youth concerts featuring San Diego’s young musical talents, ages 6-17, many of whom also excel in science and math. They play solo and ensemble pieces to an audience of children, their families and community members at various venues in San Diego County. In 2012, the program began their activities in Orange County. This program is envisioned to spawn FanFaire Foundation’s “Kids Teaching Kids” program in the near future.
