COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS & CO-SPONSORSHIPS

Carlsbad Boys and Girls Clubs – Bressi Ranch
an offshoot of exploratory talks held in late 2013, the partnership with FanFaire Foundation begins in 2014 with after-school events planned that will highlight both music and science

Friends of the Carmel Valley Branch Library
a partnership started in 2012 with a performance by members of FanFaire Foundation’s KIDS Playing For KIDS program

Escondido Public Library and Friends of the Escondido Library
a co-sponsorship of special events that began with the Orvieto Trio Piano Trio concert in August 2011 which launched FanFaire Foundation’s Free Family Concerts Series , followed in December 2011 with a Holiday Family Sing-Along. The first 2012 concert in the Series The Harp and Alexandra Tibbitts was presented in February as part of the Library’s 2nd Saturday Concert Series.

Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch
a partnership launched on “Kids Day at the Flower Fields” on April 1, 2011 when FanFaire Foundation presented a performance by members of its “KIDS Playing For KIDS” program consisting of solo and ensemble pieces, as well as a small children’s chorus at the only musical event of the day.

The Inessa Litvin Advanced Piano Studio
a partnership forged in 2013 with the teacher of some of San Diego’s best young pianists.

La Jolla Music Society
a partnership established in early 2013 in conjunction with FanFaire Foundation’s evolving Young Artist Development Program. Open to young artists who are NOT necessarily children or members of “KIDS Playing for KIDS“, the program gives young artists a chance to expand their horizon through participation in masterclasses and coaching sessions with renowned musicians, attendance at concerts and recitals by internationally recognized artists and personal meetings with them. The program has proven to be great inspirational value to young aspiring musicians.

La Jolla – Riford Branch Library
a partnership began in 2011 with FanFaire Foundation’s presentation of “The Orvieto Piano Trio” at the library’s Community Hall which has since served as a venue for performances both by FanFaire Foundation’s guest professional artists (e.g., “From Paris to You” with the Paris-based duo of pianist Zachary Deak and violist Virginie D’Avezac De Castera) and by members of FanFaire Foundation’s “KIDS Playing For KIDS” program.

Logan Heights Branch Library
a partnership that co-presented the Holiday Family Sing-Along Concert in December 2011; The Harp and Alexandra Tibbitts, solo recital, in February 2012; and also in February 2012, in cooperation with the San Diego Opera Education Department, “Bring Kids to the Opera” in which students selected from schools in Logan Heights and neighboring San Diego High Schools. The students first attended a docent lecture on “Moby-Dick” on February 1, which was open to Logan Heights students and their families, followed by student attendance at San Diego Opera’s final dress rehearsal of the West Coast premiere of Jake Heggie‘s Moby-Dick.

Museum of Making Music
co-presented the Orvieto Trio Piano Trio concert in Carlsbad, CA in August 2011 as part of the Foundation’s Free Family Concert Series.

Orange County Museum of Art
as community partner, hosted FanFaire Foundation’s “KIDS Playing For KIDS” Program debut in Orange County on July 8, 2012; venue debut held on Target Free Second Sunday at OCMA featured a morning and afternoon performance, both very well-attended and warmly received.

Point Loma Credit Union (PLCU)
a continuing partnership that began with the launching in October 2011 of FanFaire Foundation’s Kids Playing for Kids program at a special event held at its the Carlsbad Branch, followed by a PLCU-sponsored community holiday events: Holiday Harp Music and a performance by “KIDS Playing For KIDS” team members at the PLCU Employment Appreciation Luncheon.

Point Loma / Hervey Branch Library
This partnership began when FanFaire Foundation presented “Gene Music | Music Gene“, a 2010 San Diego Science Festival Signature Event at the Library’s Community Hall. After a two-year hiatus, the partnership re-emerged with new-found energy when the Library co-sponsored one of our “From Paris to You” concerts in April 2012, continuing with “Twinkle, Litte Stars!” –an afternoon of chamber and solo pieces featuring San Diego’s young musical talents, stars-in-the-making– on June 24, and a recital of harp music with Alexandra Tibbitts in the Fall.

Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club
a partnership that co-presented one of FanFaire Foundation’s “From Paris to You” concerts in April 2012. Click HERE for press coverage of the event.

University of San Diego, College of Arts & Sciences
co-sponsorship in 2011 of a Chamber Music Festival held in winter (4th Annual Winter Chamber Heat, a week-end of intense music learning and music-making), and summer (Sixth Summer Chamber Music Festival, a week of rigorous but fun coaching sessions and solo/ensemble concert performances).
