FanFaire Foundation’s first Music Appreciation Concert “Sunday Afternoon with the Rossetti Piano Trio” held on May 16, 2010 at the acoustically superb* Neurosciences Institute Auditorium in La Jolla, CA also ushered in the “Bring Kids to the Concert” program.
The Music Appreciation Concert Series has a unique educational value in that it combines top-notch performance with commentaries by the performing artists on the pieces being performed, thus encouraging audience interaction. Through this program musically-inclined students are able to watch and listen to great music-making by artists of international renown performing in a world-class concert hall–providing them with an inspirational experience that will make a deep impression on their young minds, one that hopefully they will never forget. A second Music Appreciation Concert which was held once again at the Neurosciences Institute Auditorium on Sunday October 3, 2010 at 2:30 pm. Likewise, it provided local businesses another opportunity to support the “Bring Kids to the Concert” program.
