A principal artist with Los Angeles Opera, she is well-known in San Diego where she made her operatic debut and performs almost every season. Described as a “fire-eating singing actress” by Time Magazine following her performance of Carmen, Ms. Guzman is also a well-known radio personality who co-hosted the popular weekly broadcast “LA Opera Notes” for nine seasons as well as “Sunday Evening Opera” for three seasons.

A passionate advocate of arts education, she has performed her award-winning one-woman show “Don’t Be Afraid: It’s Just Opera” for more than 200,000 students nationwide and serves on the boards of several LA educational organizations.
